Sunderkand is a part of the sacred book Shri Ramcharitmanas, that depicts Hanumanji’s journey to Lanka when he set out in search of Sita. The Sunderkand ends with the army of Shri Ram reaching the ocean on the other side. It is believed that Sunderkand Sankirtan can ward off evil and bring positivity as Sunderkand deals with the Mahatmya of Hanuman. Since rendering of Sunderkand takes lesser time and gives maximum benefit, people tend to organise Sunderkand recital often.
